Why you never update your blog?

I last edited my blog in July.. and it has been October now. Lots of my friends and families asked, "Why you never update your blog? What happen? You very busy?" Well, here I am. Updating my blog to tell everyone that I am still ok. I am just very very very very very very very extremely busy lately. Well, for those of you that even bother to look at my blog, I appreciate all your concerns and I WILL update my blog from time to time. Thank you very much. Have a nice day. Adios.

Musical Saturday : Concert by the cubical

Rushing to work at Friday night. So unluckily there was an accident somewhere on the highway, but luckily I got to office on time to start the streaming for the trial that we're hosting.

Saturday Morning Madness. Got to office to do some work. Met Chris (Flooding Backyard), then we did some recording at office (Third Eye Blind - How's It Going To Be). Haha :)

After that, Jenny came and meet me at Chai Chee. We had lunch together and went to Simei because she wanted to get something for the Robos. We took bus to Bedok and then MRT to Simei.
I bought a pair of Yonex shoes. Got to prepare for the CCG (Intercompany Badminton Competition) in July. Haha.
Jenny was so happy when she saw the Pet Safari. We have been searching for quite sometimes for this store. And finally!
A kid in the store was showing us the latest collection of Hampster home. See how high tech the Hampster home is. Looks like one of those Startreck Spaceship.

Hampster's Jungle Rumba. This home must belong to some Rich M#$#%#$# Hampster. Haha. But it looks pretty awesome!

Tuesday : Another day at Paradise

Went to work today, as any other days in the past few months. Enjoying my mp3 on the way to work. Went to lunch with a bunch of colleagues. We ordered claypot rice that has already put 2 of my colleagues to "frequent toilet visit". It was quite bad. Look at Chris's face below and you can tell how bad the claypot rice was!!!

On the way back from work, I received this wonderful sms from Lucy telling me that the Dr. Pepper in Bugis's Cold Storage is only 85 cents. I went there and bought 3 (6pack). Somehow I got a "very" good deal. Cant reveal too much secret. Haha. Anyway, thanks to Lucy!! Haha..

How to stay happy at work?

How often do you get the Sunday evening blues? Every now and again, or every week without fail? If it’s the latter, maybe you should think about moving on… But lots of people find themselves in the situation where they’re not ready to move jobs just yet – perhaps because they’ve only been in the role a short time, or because they want to gain more experience. So if you find yourself in the situation where you’re in a job that is ok but not brilliant, or that you really need to see through for a period of time, what can you do to make it more interesting and - dare we say it – more fun? Here are some suggestions: Focus on the positives – what do you really like about your job (come on, there must be something)? How could you incorporate more of that into your working day? Remind yourself of the other positive aspects of your work – your friends and colleagues, for instance.

Find new challenges. One of the reasons that we can get restless in our job is, quite simply, boredom. Think about ways in which you could make your role more interesting. Perhaps you could volunteer to mentor new staff, or spend some time every week shadowing people in other departments to get a broader perspective on the business? Discuss your ideas with your line manager. Is there scope for you to work more flexibly? Working from home one day a week, for example, could give you more variety. This is not an excuse to get up late and lie around watching daytime TV, though – you’ll need to be able to show some output for your time away from the office! Again, discuss the options with your manager. If you feel you’re not being stimulated enough mentally, consider doing some training or a course that is work-related: it will give you new insights, help to keep you fresh, and will be a useful addition to your resume when you are ready to move on.

Network more. If meeting new people is not already part of your role, find ways to incorporate it. Meeting people and getting fresh perspectives can help you to keep yourself interested and interesting. If there don’t seem to be many networking opportunities where you are, create some! Organise a pub quiz or a team outing, or arrange for you and your colleagues to meet up with staff from another part of the company. Inject a bit of fun into your workplace. That could be as simple as croissants on a Monday morning or a team drink on Friday afternoon. Or it could be a more structured social event. Your work colleagues don’t have to be your bosom buddies, but you’ll enjoy your working day much more if there’s a bit of banter and humour around. Just because your work is a serious business doesn’t mean you can’t have fun while you do it!

Make an effort to do more interesting things outside of work. If your working week consists of getting up in the morning, going to work, coming home, having dinner, slumping in front of the TV and then going to bed, your job is going to have a disproportionate impact on your overall mood. Try to fit a couple of social engagements into your week – a dancing class or an art exhibition, perhaps, or just a catch-up with friends you haven’t seen for a while. Having something to look forward to during the week will help to make it more bearable. If you find that your problem is you’re working such long hours that you don’t have time to have fun outside work, let alone in the office, you need to tackle this. Get used to prioritising your workload – negotiate extensions to deadlines if necessary – and make yourself leave the office on time at least 3 nights a week. Most of us have periods when we’re extra-busy and end up working long hours, but if this is happening to you routinely, you need to get out of that rut.If, despite trying all the things we’ve suggested, you’re still not enjoying your job most of the time, then perhaps it is time to think about moving on. Life is too short to spend in a job that makes you miserable!

Flooded Saturday

I woke up this morning, and found that my kitchen was a mess. The "soy sauce" fell on the floor and make my whole kitchen looks like a crime scene, except that the blood is in black. Haha. Well, my brother and I have to clean it up with water and brush. It was terrible. Then we went out to Bedok to eat this delicious Laksa and Kolo Mee (local food for Sarawak people). Haha. The shop was actually opened by the local Kuching people. So it taste genuine.

We then took a taxi from Bedok and I tell you, the Taxi driver is a little bit "koo koo". He even sang a few song for us in the taxi. I was going to take his photo but then he insist that I dont take his photo. Oh well.

At night, Jenny and I went to HarbourFront and I bought her a Belated Birthday gift (a Le Coq Sportif bag). It was pretty nice.

Also a pair of VNC sandal. Haha..

Movie's Night : Silent Hill

We went to Tiong Bahru last night to watch Silent Hill. I've heard and seen a few review on that movie that it was not as good as you think it is. Well, I guess "seeing is believing". So I went and watch. Guess what? It was true. It sucks. I dont like to watch a movie that does not have an ending or in other words a movie that makes you wonder what happen in the end???? Well everything was good except for the movie. Everything here means, the dinner, the shopping and etc. My Honey taking photo with the Cars. Actually I forced her to. Haha. To have something to put in this blog. Lol.

We went to ThaiExpress to grab a bite before the show start. It was real good.

I ordered a "Kaeng Panang Neua". The beef was not propotion with the rice. Too much beef and too less of rice. So I have to order an extra rice. Haha. But it was good. Really good.
